Battle Museum
Caravan Club
George Stone Limited was awarded the contract to transform a run‑down listed building into a museum celebrating the local area and its rich history.
Working from designs by architect Anthony Sherwin, our team sourced original materials to ensure a perfect match with the existing structure. Through sympathetic internal renovation and carefully planned external landscaping, we preserved the building’s character while creating a modern, functional space.
This project was recognised with a Heritage Trust Award, reflecting our commitment to craftsmanship, authenticity, and the sensitive restoration of historic properties.
George Stone Limited was commissioned to refurbish and extend facilities at the Caravan Club in Pett, just outside Hastings.
The project involved a complete strip‑out and refurbishment, alongside the addition of a small extension to the existing toilet block, incorporating new electrical and mechanical installations.
In line with current legislation, we also constructed a disabled bathroom, ensuring accessibility for all visitors. Extensive groundworks were carried out to create new hard standing for caravans, improving both functionality and durability of the site.
This project highlights our ability to deliver practical, compliant, and high‑quality solutions for leisure and community facilities.

Sedlescombe Golf Club
George Stone Limited undertook a major project at Sedlescombe Golf Club, extending the premises to nearly twice its original size. The works included the addition of new changing facilities, conference rooms, and a balconied patio to enhance the bar area.
To ensure the extension blended seamlessly with the existing building, we carefully sourced materials that matched the original structure. This project demonstrates our expertise in delivering large‑scale leisure and hospitality developments with attention to both functionality and aesthetics.
