George Stone Limited was commissioned to transform the old parcel sorting office at Bexhill Station into a modern pharmacy and treatment rooms for South East Health.

Working from designs by Faulkner Associates, we carried out extensive refurbishment and alterations to the existing building, including the creation of a brand‑new entrance. The project demonstrates our expertise in adapting existing structures into contemporary, functional spaces while respecting their original character.

This conversion highlights our ability to collaborate with architects and healthcare providers to deliver high‑quality results that meet both practical and aesthetic needs.

Conquest Hospital

George Stone Limited successfully delivered a 5‑month contract for East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust, working closely with hospital staff to ensure minimal disruption throughout the project.

The works involved constructing an extension to the existing training centre, re‑routing fire exits, altering the internal layout, and carrying out large‑scale external landscaping.

This project highlights our expertise in delivering complex construction solutions in sensitive, operational environments where safety and continuity are paramount.

Penhurst Retreat Centre

St Michael’s Hospice

George Stone Limited undertook a prestigious project involving the demolition of an old garage, careful repairs to a 16th Century Jacobean building, and the construction of a new single‑storey building comprising a chapel and two en‑suite bedrooms.

The project required sensitivity to historic architecture alongside modern construction expertise, ensuring the new addition complemented the original structure.

We are proud that this work was recognised with a Public and Community Award from the Sussex Heritage Trust, celebrating our commitment to quality and heritage preservation.

George Stone Limited was awarded a prestigious contract by St. Michael’s Hospice, an independent charity providing care for those with life‑limiting illnesses.

The project involved extending the existing building with three separate extensions and carrying out extensive internal alterations. With residents remaining in situ throughout, the contract required careful planning and execution to minimise disruption and ensure the highest standards of safety and respect.
